To round out my little Republican force I felt I'd need at least another squad of International Brigades before going back to paint some more Nationalists.
Something I absolutely love with the International Brigades is the relative freedom when it comes to uniform colours. Lots of different brown and green hues make for a rather ragged appearance while still looking just uniform enough to link the unit together.
Now, when I think of it I should maybe do just one more squad of International Brigades ;-)
muy bien, hurra para los internaciales
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job on these Nick., well done
ReplyDeleteWonderful looking figures, love the job on the clothes and the bases...
ReplyDeleteLovely figures and painting Nick. What a fantastic collection your SCW is going to be.
ReplyDeleteFantastic work as always mate!
ReplyDeleteAnother awesome drop! Love the rag tag bunch.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work as always. It's great to be able to mix up the colours on these units and yours really 'pop'
ReplyDeleteThese are really stunning nick. For some reason I have become fixated with the chips on the helmets, amazing job.
ReplyDeleteGreat work
ReplyDeleteOutstanding work Nick!! Another bunch I will need to have a closer look at!

Brilliant. The red and white checked blanket is a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteFab paintwork on these miniatures. They have turned out great. Individual looking but quite uniform when in a group.
ReplyDeleteAnother wow to your painting ;-)
ReplyDeleteCracking brush work Nick! That red and white checkered bedroll(?) is a really nice touch! Really gives a vibe that they are volunteers that just grabbed equipment from home, including the bed sheets :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic brushwork Nick.
ReplyDeleteIncredible painting! Colour choices are absolutely on point and the highlights are super-smooth! Eye-candy at its best!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work, love the variety of uniforms and colours.
ReplyDeletecheers John
The variety of colors you induced through clever (and excellent) brushwork is simply astounding. They have a unifying color yet look so different.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late visit, but wonderful brushwork again. The combination of drab uniform colors with civilian attire makes them quite eye-catching.
